​There are 20 Solid Waste Management Districts throughout the state of Missouri that focus on local and regional efforts to promote recycling and reduce waste.  Each District/Region offers grants to local recycling-related entities for jobs, education, recycling programs, collection events, equipment, and more.  When trucks go rolling into Missouri landfills, a portion of the tipping fees collected go back into Missouri communities to support local recycling and encourage waste reduction.  Missouri Department of Natural Resources Solid Waste Management Districts.
